IT'S A GREAT DAY FOR LEARNING!
These last words of encouragement before the Bible lessons begin are offered humbly and sincerely from my heart to yours. Remember to not just be on time, but be early for your Bible class! The Bible teacher should be waiting at the classroom door, anxiously awaiting the coming of students. If you are late, it does not set a good example for your class. Be ready. Be early. Be waiting. No excuses!
Do not forget your Bible! As we remind our students at the end of each and every Bible class, "Don't forget to bring your Bible!", we should make sure we heed our own advice. The Bible should be precious to us! As Psalms 19:7-10 says, God's Word is perfect, it makes wise the simple, makes the heart rejoice, enlightens the eyes, endures forever, and is to be desired more than fine gold and honey. It is inspired by God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth! (2 Tim. 3:16, 17)
Do not be afraid! (Ps. 27:1) You can do this! You can teach the Bible to children. Proverbs 11:30 tells us, "...he that winneth souls is wise." It is a noble task that you are undertaking. "If God be for us, who can be against us? (Rom. 8:31)
Take heart, friend, precious souls are waiting for us to teach them God's Word. May we go prayerfully, prepared, and with purpose! They are depending on us--their Bible teachers!
